Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden heck anything to do with Saiyuki some how involves her small part, Kanzeon Bosatsu. Actually in the manga it is said that Kanzeon is a hermaphrodite. So why is it a she in the anime? lol. This I will enter in the small part character contest for

You mentioned something about her being a hermaphrodite. Well, the voice actress for Kanzeon Bosatsu (Yoko Soumi) also played a hermaphrodite in Vandread. I guess the deep female voice helps put her gender in the nether regions. 
Soumi-san also voiced the bount Yoshi in Bleach, as well as Nyanmar in Eto Rangers, but those two characters were female.
